Meet Susan (Sue) Repa
Grief & Leadership Coach
Hello, I’m Susan Repa—though many know me as Sue.
As an experienced Executive and Leadership Coach and an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC), I’ve dedicated my career to supporting individuals through moments of change, challenge, and transformation.
Over the years, my coaching focus has deepened to include grief coaching—a meaningful path where I walk alongside clients as they navigate personal loss. Grief touches all areas of life, including leadership, identity, and purpose.
In our work together, we’ll explore tools to foster resilience, process change, and reconnect with what matters most to you.
While grief coaching is not therapy or counselling, it can be a powerful support in creating space for growth and healing. My role is to partner with you as you move through loss, offering structure, empathy, and a compassionate presence.
I look forward to being a part of your journey.
My Story
About Me
I'm an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with over 35 years of experience in social services and healthcare. My career has always focused on supporting others through change, growth, and adversity.
Early Career in Care and Support
My journey began in Toronto as a Child and Youth Worker, where I supported young people facing complex life challenges. I later served as Director of group homes for youth and adults with autism—roles that taught me the importance of empathy, structure, and individualized support.
A Diverse and Compassionate Path
For over 25 years, I worked as a Registered Massage Therapist, including a season with the Toronto Argonauts CFL team. Throughout that time, I continued offering support to youth in need, blending physical care with emotional insight.

A Certified Coach with a Grief Focus
Today, I integrate that rich experience into my work as a grief and leadership coach. Certified through the Canada Coach Academy, I specialize in helping clients navigate loss, personal transition, and leadership development. Grief coaching, while distinct from therapy, offers clients a powerful space for healing, reflection, and resilience-building.

Teaching and Community Leadership
I serve as a Partial Load Professor in the Faculty of Business at Conestoga College, where I help emerging leaders grow their skills and confidence. I’m also the Special Advisor for Stakeholder Relations and Project Management at the Kemp Care Network, contributing to the development of Keaton’s House—Paul Paletta Children’s Hospice.

Empowering Through Storytelling
I'm the author of Grief Squad: Mom’s Sky, a comic/manga-style book that helps children process grief through creative storytelling. This project combines my lifelong passions: children and youth, grief literacy, and accessible emotional support.

Life Outside of Work
When I’m not coaching or writing, I’m often in the garden, on the golf course, or cheering on my daughter at her tackle football games. I believe in living fully—and helping others do the same.

My Coaching Philosophy
At the heart of my coaching practice is a deep commitment to empowerment especially for women and those navigating grief. I help my clients tap into their inner strength, embrace their unique path, and define success on their own terms.
